Managing Partner & Supervising Clinician



Morgen's focus is overall wellness through therapeutic and holistic health coaching practices. She supports individuals and families, from adolescents to adults, in looking at their lives as a whole and finding balance emotionally, mentally, physically, and socially. Morgen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State and Connecticut, as well as a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach, that supports treatment for anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, OCD, and other life stressors. Morgen is also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider, recognized by the Office of Professions, who offers formal assessment, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations for adolescents and adults.

Allan Thomas, LCSW-R (he/him/his)

Managing Partner & Supervising Clinician


Allan has years of experience in providing therapy in mental health settings and in private practice. He utilizes therapeutic approaches proven to be effective and is known for his ability to connect with clients in a caring, real, and honest way. Allan has had particular success in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse/addiction, and most mental health issues that may impede one's ability to achieve their potential. Allan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State.

Kimberly Mazza, LCSW, PMH-C, CLC (she/her/hers)

Managing Partner & Supervising Clinician 


Kimberly has worked in a variety of settings from birth to end of life. She connects well with adults through a variety of challenges they may be facing such as trauma, anxiety, depression, life changes, relationships, and stress. Her approach is warm and supportive, while also encouraging She specializes in helping individuals find their path to healing from past and present traumas, including birth trauma.  Kim is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional, a lactation consultant, birth doula, and New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Emily Kramek, LMHC (she/her/hers)

Director & Supervising Clinician


Emily is a Mental Health Counselor and specializes in working adults, young adults,  adolescents, and couples.  She utilizes different therapeutic techniques, such as dialectical behavior therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness, to help folks articulate things they may not otherwise have the words to say. Emily offers a warm, supportive, safe environment for her clients to process their traumas or hardships and find a place of ease and healing.

Laura Sherr, PhD, LP (she/her/hers)

Senior Clinician

  

Laura believes that counseling is a relational and collaborative process where we address and validate a client’s difficulties, focus on values and strengths, and work together to craft the life they want for themselves. She is a licensed psychologist with over a dozen years of experience working with a wide range of developmental, relational, and mental health concerns. In addition to traditional talk therapy, she provides education and coaching on evidence based practices to improve wellness and build resilience including stress reduction, yoga, and mindfulness practices.

Sara Garnot, LCSW (she/her/hers)

Supervising Clinician


Sara is a New York State Licensed Social Worker who believes that each person has the ability to improve their well-being. She utilizes a strengths-based approach to help clients develop skills to feel empowered and move forward. Sara has worked to support adolescents and adults with many issues including anxiety, depression, and trauma, and is particularly interested in supporting individuals who have experienced challenges related to fertility.

Chelsea Lopez, LCSW (she/her/hers)

Supervising Clinician


Chelsea is a Clinical Social Worker with experience in domestic violence, child welfare, community mental health, pediatric care, and schools. As a new mom, she is passionate about supporting other mothers as well as working with teens and young adults, particularly within Latinx and BIPOC communities. First-time therapy clients are especially welcomed. Her approach is open-minded, person-centered, and focuses on helping clients find balance in their lives. Chelsea uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Trauma-Informed Care to address stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. Her goal is to empower clients in a safe, supportive environment.

Chelsea earned her master’s degree in social work from New York University and her BA from Mount Saint Mary College. She is also an active yoga instructor and enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking.

Allison "Ali" McGrath, MHC-LP (she/her/hers)

When it comes to the healing journey, Ali believes every person has the potential to be in control of their healing. Using a combination of client-centered approach, DBT, and CBT, she provides a space where clients feel heard, supported, and safe. Ali uses an inclusive manner of setting and reaching goals, showing clients that they will have the support they need to reach their desired level of understanding and healing from past and present trauma.

Carla Steckman, LMSW (she/her/hers)

Clinician



Carla believes that empowerment, acceptance, and insight can be the keys to healing. Working together from a strengths-based perspective, Carla will help all clients reach new levels of self-understanding and discover their own power of healing. Carla enjoys working with adults navigating life transitions like college, new jobs, marriage, divorce, pregnancy and new parenthood. Carla is passionate about supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, caregiving burnout, parenting support, infertility or grief/loss. She has a special interest in oncology support and working with individuals who are living with chronic illness or pain. 


Carla is a New York State Licensed Social Worker and receives clinical supervision from Morgen Rappa, LCSW, CHHC.

Josh Robbins, MFT (he/him/his)

Clinician


Josh works with individuals, couples, and families to identify obstacles, achieve goals, and build resilience while promoting healing and peace of mind. He brings a relational lens to the issues and challenges that clients face and incorporates into his practice elements of narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and mindfulness, while also providing practical relational tools for clients to employ outside of the therapeutic environment. He collaborates to find strength-based, solution-focused interventions that honor the diverse lived experiences of his clients.

Courtney Pek, LMSW (she/her/hers)

Clinician


Courtney is a compassionate and experienced therapist who specializes in working with young children, teens, young adults, and families. With a background in both school settings and private practice, she brings a well-rounded perspective to the therapeutic process. Courtney has supported clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, school refusal, ADHD, life transitions, trauma and behavioral concerns.

She draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness techniques. In addition to her clinical expertise, Courtney is a certified yoga instructor and wellness coach, often incorporating elements of yoga and holistic wellness into her work to support the mind-body connection. Her integrative and nurturing style helps clients build resilience, self-awareness, and emotional balance in a supportive and creative environment.

 Kaileen has a passion for assisting children, adolescents, and young adults find their voice and control their healing. She believes that with the right tools, everyone can achieve their goal of bettering their mental health and moving forward from their trauma. Kaileen has always had a passion for helping others in any way she can. She aspires to utilize different therapeutic techniques such as DBT, play therapy, mindfulness, and supportive therapy. Kaileen hopes to assist children and younger individuals in discovering the meaning of their feelings and helping them find mechanisms to cope with those feeling in a safe and supportive environment. Jackie is passionate about working with adults, young adults,  adolescents, and couples. Her specific area of focus is working with people who struggle with complex trauma and neurodivergence. She is a certified yoga instructor and trauma-informed life coach with a background in meditation, mindfulness, and restorative justice circles.  In addition to traditional talk therapy, Jackie offers a somatic approach that helps people learn to feel embodied in their growth.  She brings empathetic attunement, creativity, and humor to her practice and believes that we heal in connection with one another.  Jackie is an avid lover of nature and a budding plant mom who spends her free time gardening, hiking, and swimming in the glorious lakes of the Hudson Valley.

Bob is a Masters level Mental Health Counseling Intern from Southern New Hampshire University. Bob focuses on supporting children, adolescents, and adults struggling with various presenting issues and struggles. These include depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. Bob is passionate about focusing on his work with Neordivergent clients and supporting them in navigating through life. Bob strives to use person-centered therapy, DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and EFT to support clients through their presenting problems.

Brendan Mahar, MHC-LP, CASAC 2 (he/ him/ his)

Brendan is a Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about working with those struggling with mental health disorders such as Generalized Anxiety, Major Depression, and Traumatic Disorders. He utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing with a person-centered approach to help clients develop and practice mindfulness and coping skills. Brendan has an extensive background in working with adolescents and adults struggling with alcohol and other substance use disorders in drop-in centers, outpatient facilities, and substance use disorder rehabilitation facilities. 

Through his experience and continuing education, Brendan hopes to help provide a confidential, trusting, and empowering environment where the client can take the lead in achieving their potential.

Erin Golestani, MSW-I (she/her/hers)

Clinical Trainee


Erin is a Masters level Social Work intern from Utica University. She has a strong interest in working with adolescents and young adults who are navigating challenges related to life transitions, as well as those struggling with anxiety and depression. Erin aspires to work with clients from a strengths-based approach and to learn how to utilize various therapeutic modalities including CBT, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. She believes everyone deserves the chance to improve their quality of life. She is passionate about providing her clients with a warm, safe environment to make them feel heard, empowered, and supported. 

In her free time, Erin enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and quality time with her family and friends.

Tash Vasilyeva, CMHC-I (she/her/hers)

Clinical Trainee


Tash is a Mental Health Counseling Intern at Antioch University, where she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She brings a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach, grounded in openness, humility, and a deep commitment to understanding each client’s unique experience.

As an immigrant and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Tash understands the challenges of navigating life where parts of oneself may not feel accepted. She cares deeply about creating a space where you don’t have to hide your truth and believes there are no bad parts within us — only parts that need to be heard and understood.

Tash values honesty and transparency and encourages open conversations in the therapeutic process. She believes therapy should feel safe, supportive, and aligned, never forced. As part of her internship, Tash offers a sliding scale to increase accessibility. She also provides sessions in Russian for those who feel more comfortable in their native language.

Angelica is a master's level Mental Health Counseling intern from Pace University. She has a strong interest in working with couples and adolescents to better help them navigate life transitions. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems, and mindfulness, among others. Her therapeutic style is reflective and holistic, working with individuals to address their unique needs and taking an individualized approach to their care. Angelica spends her off-time reading, cooking, and spending time with family.

Derek is a Master’s-level Mental Health Counseling Intern from Pace University, bringing over a decade of experience offering individuals compassionate, nonjudgmental emotional support. Grounded in empathy and genuine curiosity, Derek approaches each person’s unique journey with care and openness. He is deeply committed to fostering safe, trusting therapeutic spaces, collaborating with clients to uncover their own personal inner strengths and sources of healing. Derek works with individuals across the lifespan, couples, and those navigating substance use challenges. He is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who strives to create inclusive and affirming care for all. Derek is pleased to be able to offer a sliding scale at this time.

Jill has a background in administrative and managerial work and offers her organizational support to the Compass Wellness team. She is passionate about streamlining wellness opportunities and services to help make mental health support more accessible. As a 500-hour yoga teacher, Jill brings mindfulness and intentional energy work to her everyday life.
